The Trampery

Evo Pioneers is a new initiative for aspiring entrepreneurs and creatives from The Trampery, Peckham Levels. This is a fully funded business development programme for newly established groups including free workspaces. Applications close 23 March 2025.

3Space is offering free space in Central London

3Space is a social provider of flexible work space. They are accepting applications for their new premises in Warren Street. If you have a recognised not-for-profit status you can apply for space there for free or low cost.

Room hire discounts in Islington/Kings Cross

Voluntary Action Islington are offering a 15% discount on Monday and Friday room hire. Host your staff meetings, training, or team away days in a convenient venue, just 5 minutes’ walk from Kings Cross and 10 minutes from Angel Station.

– A range of prices depending on the room size and length of hire.
– Meeting rooms equipped with TVs and hybrid meeting capabilities, including the OWL 360 camera, microphone, and speaker.

Datawise resources to support charities

Datawise London is a partnership programme led by Superhighways, supporting small charities and community organisations in London to better use data to shape services and influence change, resulting in better outcomes for Londoners. A new guide to qualitative data, written by Nissa Ramsay for Datawise London is available and an accompanying training session is coming up in March (Tuesday 25 March). This can be booked online here

Voice Online Communities CIC is a community website publishing platform, offered free of charge to small charities and community organisations.

This is made available through the Digital Foundations programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and supported by Voice, Refugee Council, and HEAR Network.

If you’re a London charity, you can apply for a free website at any time.

All current Voice resources are available here from Superhighways. This includes a new playlist of tutorials on YouTube, as well as links to training manuals and other documents compiled for new Voice users.

King’s Civic Leadership Academy internship opportunities

6-Week Internship – April to July 2025

Community Partners can host student interns for a 6-week (210 working hours) period for a project-based placement. Interns can contribute to meaningful initiatives, supporting organisational goals while gaining practical work experience. The student interns receive a bursary (paid for by King’s) to compensate for their work.

250 free online fundraising packs available

easyfundraising is offering 250 free fundraising toolkits to help local organisations raise money online. Through easyfundraising, when your supporters shop with any of 8,000 retailers, including Tesco, trainline, eBay, Argos, Sainsbury’s, John Lewis, Asda and Booking.com, a donation is made to your organisation. All you need to do is use the free packs to tell your supporters about it.

To get your complimentary pack, register with easyfundraising and when prompted, schedule a call with a member of the easyfundraising team who will arrange your toolkit and explain the process.

Top sites for royalty-free images

With thanks to Superhighways, they have compiled a list of favourite sites for royalty-free images: free means that they are available under a Creative Commons Licence, to use and often modify. Sometimes you will need to attribute the image – giving credit to the photographer. 

These platforms below offer a diverse range of photos, illustrations, and more that can elevate your projects and effectively convey your message.  

Pixabay is a platform offering free stock photography and royalty-free media. Users can share photos, illustrations, vector graphics, videos, music, and sound effects. All content is available under the custom Pixabay Content License, which permits free use with certain limitations.

Pexels offers stock photography and footage, with a library of over 3.2 million photos and videos. This collection grows by about 200,000 files each month. Users upload the content, which is then manually reviewed.

Unsplash is a proprietary stock photography website. It boasts over 330,000 contributing photographers and generates more than 13 billion photo impressions monthly, with a library exceeding 5 million photos as of April 2023. Unsplash introduced its own license, the Unsplash License, in June 2017, which includes some additional restrictions.

Vecteezy is an online marketplace where users can license stock photos, vector graphics, and stock footage directly from artists. The platform operates on a freemium model, allowing users to access a significant portion of the content for free. Additionally, users can purchase subscriptions or credits to unlock the entire content library and gain enhanced licensing capabilities, among other benefits.

Gratisography offers a unique collection of high-resolution, free stock images known for their quirky and creative nature. Founded by Ryan McGuire, the platform stands out by curating only the most interesting and visually striking photos, which are free from copyright restrictions.

Startup Stock Photos was created to provide free, high-quality stock photos of startup teams and settings. Founded in 2014 by Eric Bailey and Josh Krakauer, the platform offers a wide range of images for startups, bloggers, publishers, freelancers, and more. All photos are available under the CC0 license, allowing for unrestricted use without the need for credit.

Children’s Health and Food Image Bank, created by FrameWorks UK in collaboration with Impact on Urban Health, offers a collection of free, high-quality images. These images aim to change the conversation around children’s health by highlighting the impact of surroundings and various factors on children’s well-being. The image bank is available for anyone to use in their work related to children’s health and food.

Sport England offers a wide selection of free images related to sport and physical activity through their image library. These images are available for use in brochures, banners, leaflets, reports, and other non-commercial purposes. The library includes specific collections like the “This Girl Can” campaign, which focuses on women in sports. To access these images, users need to log in or sign up for an account on the Sport England website.

Age Without Limits age-positive image library offers over 3,000 free images of older adults in positive and realistic settings. These images are available for anyone to use and aim to challenge stereotypes about ageing. Users can create personalised collections by signing up for an account.
