Queer Confident – learning space workshop at the BFI Southbank
As part of the Flare LGBTQ+ film festival in March, Queerwell will be hosting free workshops focused on mental health, wellbeing and community unity.
Coach and author David Shaked offers a two-part workshop designed specifically for LGBTQ+ people seeking to discover and strengthen their confidence. Through practical tools, personal storytelling, and shared insights, participants will identify their unique confidence enablers, develop their own “Story of Confidence” and ways to build it. This empowering journey enables participants to thrive authentically across all areas of life.

LGBTQ+ Unity: exploring and celebrating queer storytelling, self-empowerment and connection

Playwright / performer Alexis Gregory leads a transformative performance and writing workshop on his play ‘Riot Act,’ bringing together LGBTQ+ individuals, activists, and allies, exploring shared histories, strengthening connections across generations. This informal space is designed to foster reflection, and growth through creative expression and community dialogue. Discover the power of queer storytelling in this one-of-a-kind workshop experience.

Intergenerational Forum: Mutual Exchange ‘Inside’ and ‘Outside’ the Room
Learn about the recent successes and challenges of creative projects run by intergenerational arts company, Magic Me. Discuss the intergenerational participant connections that lead to mutual exchanges and development (“in the room”), and examine the barriers to building a project facilitating equal contribution of the community and the arts organisation (“out the room”).
