Funding
New Movement Fund
Sport England funding applications are now easier to fill out. This fund is worth £160 million and will help people get involved in physical activity.
Community Investment Fund
This fund is looking for community-based organisations providing essential services to improve the wellbeing of residents, develop the local economy, and create positive social change.
Garfield Weston
Garfield Weston supports charities that work in areas including welfare, community, environment, education, health, arts, heritage and faith.
National Lottery Community Fund
This fund supports community projects that are people-led, strengths-based, and connected.
Community Health Programme
This is open to charities working to tackle health inequalities. Up to 15 charities will receive a maximum of £10000.
Deadline: Monday 12 August
IMPACT Awards
This is open to charities working to improve health and wellbeing. Up to 15 charities will receive between £4000 – £50000.
Deadline: Friday 30 August
Democratic participation
The democratic participation community grants programme from the Greater London Authority are available to equity-led organisation to run projects in community settings.
Deadline: Tuesday 6 August
Motability
Motability have a series of grants available – the community transport grant, which aims to improve transport options for disabled people. The wheelchair sector grant, which aims improve and expand their access to good quality affordable wheelchairs. The active travel grant, which aims to improve access to active travel equipment.
Ill-health
This grant exists to combat the social determinants of ill-health. It will fund projects or services that tackle the effects of poverty and/or improve the health of people with a health condition or disability.
Research
Cultural activities
City Hall’s Culture team want to understand what motivates people to take part in cultural activities, and what prevents them from doing so. They want to fund out what cultural experiences Londoners are most and least likely to do, what the barriers to participation are, and how important arts and culture are to people’s lives.
