In this role you will work across two programmes, both of which support people from Global Majority communities into volunteering. BVSC are looking for a dynamic individual to take on the day-to-day running of the Digital Champions project and network. Digital Champions are volunteers who inspire and motivate others to get online, while encouraging and supporting them to develop their digital skills and confidence. Newham New Deal Partnership: Peer Support & Engagement Coordinator (Dementia)
This is an exciting new role to develop a peer support group for people recently diagnosed with dementia and their family carers and to co-produce a programme of activities so that they can continue to engage in stimulating activities in the community. This role has been developed as a response to consultation on what people in Newham living with dementia want in order to live well with the disease. The successful candidate will be working with a small team of community dementia support colleagues. Bexley Voluntary Service Council: Bexley Food Alliance Project Coordinator
The Bexley Food Alliance is a new network which was funded by the GLA to work towards taking pressure off the emergency food aid services and providing increased financial support to Bexley residents. This network has now expanded and aims to build a collaborative network of agencies that can increase fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, as well as any additional support residents might need. BVSC are looking for a Project Coordinator to take over the day-to-day running of this network.
