Useful datasets sources

London Plus analyse the latest data for civil society organisations in London to access and use.

London Plus and the Greater London Authority (GLA) have collaborated to create this practical useful datasets sources document for civil society organisations to use when gathering and analysing data.

This resource was collated by data officers Natasha Codiroli Mcmaster (London Plus) and Hannah Goulding (GLA), with the aim that any civil society organisation in London can access data they need by using the document.

Alongside an organisation’s own data, open data can be an extremely valuable resource for charities. These datasets could be used to:

• Better understand your local area and issues impacting residents
• Demonstrate local need to funders
• Refine and target services

We have pulled together some of the most relevant sources of data, from Public Health England’s fingertips which allows you to explore health indicators in your area, to the metropolitan police’s local crime statistics.
