Funding

Loved and Wanted Fund

The Loved and Wanted Fund was launched in September and will invest just under £1million in up to 15 community organisations to offer a range of support and advice to Londoners from dedicated spaces which are inclusive and welcoming.

Grassroots Grants

Groundwork is working with People’s Postcode Lottery for a third year to deliver Grassroots Grants. This year, the programme will provide unrestricted funding of up to £2,000 to 700 small, local organisations in England that are making a positive difference in their communities.

Unrestricted grants of between £500 and £2,000 can be accessed by voluntary or community organisations, including registered charities/companies, whose annual turnover is no more than £25,000.

Priority will be shown to organisations which meet the following criteria:

  • Funding for communities that rank as being within the top 15% on the English Indices of Deprivation
  • Organisations that work with and support communities classed as marginalised or vulnerable

Applications close in September 2026.

Climate action

The Climate Action Fund from the National Lottery Community Fund helps communities tackle climate change and be more environmentally sustainable.

Deadline: 17 December

Music grants

Music for All gives grants to help disadvantaged music makers experience the joys of music. They offer cash grants and instrument donations.

Walking & cycling

Walking and Cycling Grants is a Transport for London project for organisations to create activities that allow communities to enjoy the benefits of walking and cycling.

Arts, heritage, community

The Skinners’ Company funds arts, heritage, and community projects in London.

Community Resilience

Groundwork London and Groundwork South are running a small grants programme to support organisations to develop their community resilience in the face of emergencies. They are going on a ‘roadshow’ to promote the scheme and are looking for invitations to sector events. If this is of interest, contact londonresilience@groundwork.org.uk.
