London Plus and HEAR worked with the ONS to deliver the “Data for Everyone” event. The community engagement session focussed on inclusion and the forthcoming 2021 census, which will be largely conducted online. In this blog, our Social Research and Data Lead Lucy, reflects on the importance of community engagement around the census.

We would also like to say thank you to everyone who attended our conference ‘Civil Society: What Next for London?’. It was a fantastic turn out and insightful hearing the manifesto asks from key members of civil society.
We hosted 15 civil society speakers whom each had manifesto asks for the next mayor of London. Which asks do you think are most important?
Appropriate and accurate measurement of disabilities is integral to ensure that no one is discriminated against on the basis of their disability. Additionally, it can potentially lead to new insights into the specific barriers faced by deaf and disabled people. Our guide provides advice on the adoption and use of the recommended standards for the collection of equalities data about disability and impairment.
