Welcome to London Plus

It feels like a lot more than six months ago since we announced the new name for ‘the hub for London’ at the Way Ahead conference.  A lot has happened during that time

London Plus is here with a new look, a new team and our own website.

This is quite a milestone for everyone involved in helping to create us, a new organisation taking a more unified approach to helping the public, politicians and business better understand the range, complexity and importance of the work that civil society in London does.

London Plus wants to strengthen the position of civil society in London, show why it’s needed and explain the essential role local infrastructure plays in keeping smaller organisations operating at the frontline of austerity.

We will do that by helping civil society organisations to harness data and intelligence, for greater effectiveness.

We will support networks and organisations across London who build collaborative partnerships that maximise their impact and value to Londoners.

And we will increase the voice and influence of civil society by amplifying issues of common concern and highlighting best practice.

Our new website is one of the ways we will do this. Over the coming months, we will be working alongside our partners to shine a light on the vital work of civil society across the capital with engaging, relevant and useful content.

We look forward to working with you.

Our new identity

The font used in our new logo is called Gilbert and was created to honour the memory of Gilbert Baker, an LGBTQ activist, artist and creator of the iconic rainbow flag.

NewFest and NYC Pride partnered with Fontself and Animography to create this free font which we’ve adjusted slightly to reflect our bright colour palette. We chose it because the font celebrates diversity, inclusivity and we felt it captured the vibrancy of London. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
